Toyota 13Z industrial engine, has less than 1000 hours after we rebuilt it for a customer. We make sure to replace the factory sticker on the valve cover that explicitly states to pull the dipstick before filling the engine with oil. Guess what the customer didn’t do.
If oil is poured in too quickly without pulling the stick it doesn’t drain from the valve cover fast enough and can go through the crankcase vent, into the intake, and then hydraulic lock a cylinder. Without the dipstick being pulled theres no other way for the crankcase to breathe so it holds the oil up in the valve cover longer than it should. Never seen one break a crank but we’ve seen tons of bent rods.

Found out more info on the “turbo” it was used to suck in heat from a tempering furnace used to heat treat glass for windows and etc, and push it back into the furnace so that the air would not get stagnant, it was just recently replaced after 10 years of service
The furnace runs between 1500-3000 degrees Fahrenheit

There is a local guy with a minivan stuffed front to back, top to bottom. I see him parked at the library all the time.
